Hank Aaron broke the home run record?

Me? I was in my room listening to "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin. I was 11 years old. My Mother was cheering and that got my attention. I saw the replay on television. We still had a black and white set then. Oh, the good ole' days.

I had a nice laugh at my expense when so many answered that they weren't born yet.

Watching it on television, followed by about a dozen replays over the next 24 hours, on newscasts. This was unprecedented at the time, long before ESPN and CNN gave up 24/7 instant updates on anything. Fun; remember it well.

Okey I'm old, I saw it. Always a big Dodger fan and I was watching the game on television, at home in LA, with Vin Scully doing the broadcast. I believe it was Aaron's first at bat of the game against Al Downing. Right over the left field fence it went, you probably have seen the replay many times. Although I always pull for the Dodgers it was a great moment for me because Aaron is such a class act. I can tell you, it will not be the same for me when Bonds does it.

I'm not going to be like everyone else and tell you I wasn't born yet (though I wasn't...haha.)

I am just going to tell you that I am envious of those that saw it. I won't be watching Bonds, and I'll probably cringe when I hear he's done it. Hank Aaron is legend. Barry Bonds is a jerk.

I was in my room listening to "Led Zeppelin"....Dont' Remeber what song though. I was 12 years old and I had just had gotten back from a party. My dad rushed into the room and started screaming, "He broke it! He broke it!" And I thought that he was talking about my brother breaking something.

I was 14, watching on TV at my boyhood home in Wisconsin, wishing the Braves were still in Milwaukee. We still love Hank up here.
