Why are people using this site to promote racism?

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the level of racist comments that I see on this site on a daily basis. The rascists consist of both whites and blacks making senseless comments in order to create rage and backlash.

Do you see this as completely wasting the true purpose of Yahoo Answers? People are using this as their soapbox to degrade people of other races.

I did report several instances. There are too many culprits to stop the chaos. However, it truly hurts that people actually take the time and effort to push the idea of hate.

For instance "biglipblackperson" is really a white person degrading blacks. Why even devote so much time to hating others? For him to even leave such a comment shows his inability to answer an intelligently worded question in an intelligent manner. Hate is truly ingnorance.

How can I take someone seriously who states that his wife "raped" him? Your questions/answers are all phoney misrepresentations of who you really are.

Insults from you are like listening to a annoying poodle. You are trying to be heard..but since you aren't a big dog..no one takes you seriously.

You aren't even on the same level with me to refer to me as sister. Pick up a book or two, get out every once in a while and stop trying to date people on Yahoo answers...then we might be able to battle intellectually.

However in your current state, you are merely my light weight. I refuse to allow you to believe that you sound intelligent or as someone with simple common sense.

Pros: Information - quickly and plenty of it

Cons: People can hide behind their keyboards and let the ugliest side of them out.

In many situations I see that many people answering questions here have had no teaching in the fundementals of logic. That can be frustrating or very amusing on the other hand.

As an example, you can answer a question to holocaust deniers citing papers, excellent academic sources, true events and even papers from the Nazi authorities themselves who had everything documented to the last spectacles and gold fillings who neglected to invent paper shredders. Even if they know you are right and even an Ivy League debating society judge would give your argument a win, a Jew is a Jew and their extermination is a big lie.

Similarily a hardened KKK member or neo nazi will not change their mind and continue spouting off even if they are made a fool of and their fallaceous arguments are ripped to pieces. The same nonsense applies to religion arguments I see as well.

Finally it looks like no race has a monopoly of those sorts of people.

I guess they let elementary kids out for summer earlier this year.

This forum is the only way that makes them feel powerful. Notice all of racist people are uneducated. They never left the little box they live in.

Must be i am not around enough. If I see an obvious racist comment I report it. But I have not seen one for many months.

If you get upset over something someone writes on the internet, what do you do in real life when someone says something you don't like? Cry like a baby? Go tell your mommy? You are going to have a tough life if you get upset over what someone post on the internet.

In a free society people do have the right to offend you as well as have a different opinion. Are you one of those people that claim true statistics are racist if they show blacks commit more crimes than whites? Or other statistics that may be true and portray a race in a bad light.

You have the freedom not to read a post if you don't like it.

Besides I would rather read a bunch of racist post than one of these can't we all love and respect each other lovey dovey crap filled post that try to ram forced multiculturalism down my throat.

I was very upset when I started seeing them. I still do not understand racism. We are all ONE people under the same united flag. People with small minds try to express themselves in unheard of ways.

people ask open questions, they get answers. you aren't going to get the answers you like all the time. you are going to see a lot of different types of people who respond differently. So get used to it. I see answers I don't like all the time, I'm not going to cry about it, it's the nature of the game.
Also, too many people cry racist over anything...boo hoo. I'd rather people be honest when answering than be politically correct and lie to fit a social boundary.
So...if you want people to blow smoke up your a**, go to another site.

Because some people are small bigoted people. They don't want to do it on a street corner where some one will kick their ***, so they come here. Where they can spew their garbage while hiding behind a computer.
