Unfortunately I didn't notice it was missing until the next day. I called Three to cancel my sim card and someone had already racked up £160 worth of international calls!!! To my anger I was told I would have to pay for them! Unfortunately I didn't take out insurance, mainly because of horror stories I have heard about mobile phone insurance not paying out! Does anyone know if I can get around this without having to cancel my contract and risk affecting my credit rating? Please Help!

I think your being sold crap in all honesty. First, how would someone even get hold of your sim card in the first place? Surely if they steal the phone their going to be more interested in selling that then bothering with a sim card! How can they even tell the difference between a Pay as you go Sim and a Contract Sim? I really don't see any point in this insurance. CLAIM YOUR £2.99 BACK! XD

It sounds as though you will have to pay the bill. You may have some redress from your employer if for example you were required to leave your phone in a "secure" locker. Next time you will set a PIN on the phone, and leave it switched off won't you
