no, not at all. In fact, all email addresses (and domain names, for that matter) are case-insensitive. You could go with ALL CAPS or Mixed Case, it doesn't matter.

In general, email servers are not case sensitive. So Joe@somewhere.com is equivalent to joe@somewhere.com, or JOE@somewhere.com, or even JoE@somewhere.com.

I think mostly programs display email addresses in lowercase as a custom, not as a rule.

Nope.
Email addresses are not case sensitive.

If you use
X1Vega6@yahoo.com
or X1VEGA6@YAHOO.COM
or any variation there of, it will go to the same addressee.

no, i have never had a problem with uppercase addresses in either of those programs
