so, circumference and radius of earth?
using 3.14 for π (shamefully inaccurate in the age of calculators),
r = 24,875 / 6.28 = 3960.99
(silly to use a value for π less accurate than the measurements)

Did you know the a Greek mathemaetician named Eratosthenes, who lived from 276BC to 194BC calculated the circumference of the Earth--and without the use of pi!

I prefer 355/113 to 3.14
tho "answers" themselves ought not to be assumed as more precise than the least precise of the "givens"
lesssee now,
if we put R = 24875 / (2 * 355/113) we woiuld get
R = 3958.98 = 3959 I guess.
