A student with light eye coloured eyes to be the subject .with at least two observers carefully watching the subject's eyes gently stroke the fine hairs on the nape of the subject's neck.

Bu causing sharp, short lived pain, you will be provoking a sympathetic reflex called cilliry pupillary reflex....the black in the center of the eye of your friend, will dilate for a second or two, and back to the basal size....
This is also called CILIOSPINAL REFLEX which is routinely tested as part of the daily neurological exam......
it is mediated by pain sensitive nerbes anywhere in the skin, and efferent nerves that go to the pupil (sumpathetic fibers)
