i TRY to be honest or tell the truth, no matter how much it hurts me or the person or people involved...you at least owe it to them to decide and do what is best for them

I am a very honest person, but i also don't like to hurt peoples feelings., so i do think the little white lie is acceptable from time to time.

My opinion? The only good reason for a lie is to protect yourself or someone else. If it's for someone else, it's usually a "white" lie. If you are protecting yourself, maybe you should rethink your behaviour. (The use of the pronoun "you" in the above is generic; I don't know you personally.) }:> Also- a looong time ago I decided: the truth is highly overrated + the truth is subjective. A fact is a fact, the truth is frequently a matter of perspective...

if you make an appointment at the dentist and forget about it then tell him you missed the bus then that is a lie ,the truth is better because you forgot.....if a double glazing company rings up and you tell him dad is out when really it.s you then that is a white lie and perfectly acceptable ...if your mother in law rings up you can say anything you like lol and your wife will back you up..then later kick your but t round the house ...it,s better to be truthful always

i think the occasional white lie is acceptable, and any one who says they have never lied, is a liar!! The key word is little white lie, keep it in that catagory! because you know how it goes... one lie turns into 2 then 4 then on and on, and it becomes easier and easier...

As long it is a White lie I believe it is acceptable.....like if you do not want to hurt someone's feelings or when talking to a child about something they are not ready for.

OMG! Lie every chance you get, its good for the lair and the receiver. They can't handle the truth and besides the truth is stranger than fiction so lie when you can and don't forget your lies. That will come back to bite you in the @$$. Besides our government lies to us, the president lies to us. Employers lie to us. Sales people lie to us. Commercials lie to us. Why should we humans be above reproach?
