I remember Joe Adcock hitting 4 plus a double for a total of 18 total bases.....I think a record.....Joe was also the guy that hit home run with Mantilla and Aaron on the bases in the Harvey Haddix of 12 perfect innings game....in the 13....Joe hit this homerun.....with Aaron and Mantilla on base.....a 3 run homer right?.....wrong!.....Adcock ran past Aaron in the celebration and was credit with a double and the final ended up being 1 to 0.....winning pitcher was Lou Bourdette whom went the entire 13 innings.....recently, passed away!!
