I was never able to sell clothing unless it was baby things. The biggest sellers for me were books, toys (especially if all the parts and pieces were there) and kitchen utensils. Things like timers, unused turkey basters, cookie cutters, potato mashers and whisks seemed to go immediately. Everybody wants those but nobody wants to pay $10 in the store for them.

furniture! I recently had a benefit yard sale for a little 2 yr old boy with leukemia and we accepted donated items from total strangers...someone donated a couch that you would generally not set outside for wild animals to use much less inside for a human...unfortunately it was NASTY...sold in five minutes for $8.00...goes to show ALL furniture will sell...regardless of the condition.
