It really depends on the person. My skin holds a tan for months and months, sometimes a year. I have a friend who goes spray tanning every week after a vacation because hers fades within 2 or 3 days. According to dermatologists, a tan is considered an injury, and takes time to heal. So be patient, and use a tan-in-a-tube next time, those wear off after a week.

my tans usually last for months. I get my knees burned last summer at a baseball game and they are finally back to normal 8 months later.
