I'm a 17 and a half year old boy. I feel and know I have a small head and I hate it, I've just recently cut my hair and I rekon it makes me look ridiculous and younger than other 17 yr olds. With my hair it hides it but without it it bugs me, I find it almost ridiculous. Is my head likely to grow anymore, is it just behind some of my friends. I notice younger looking people have smaller heads. My head now looks even smaller than my girlfriends but obviously she reassures me. Will it grow? Thanks.

Worrying about it will not change a thing. People are more likely to notice your preoccupation with your head than the head itself. You can't get a head enlargement operation!!

Instead of turning into a boring paranoid man, just relax and enjoy life. You have a girlfriend who likes you just the way you are, and what you are on the inside is much more important anyway.

If you stop worrying about it and noticing it then so will everyone else. My bet is that your head is fine and that you are just being over sensitive. Relax and enjoy being a teenager!

It is really too bad that you feel this way.
Your features will look real young for a long time.
But as soon as you grow some facial hair and you grow more adult the head you won't like now will be perfect. You will look younger for decades to come.
Besides that:your girlfriend does not to seem bothered by it.
Do not obsess over this:it will only make you feel bad about yourself:so don't.
Once you are an adult:you will be over the moon with your face:believe me:been there myself. At 55 they think i am 40.
What's wrong with that???
Sky.

IIRC, your head reaches its maximum size when you are aged six or seven - that is why most 6-7 year olds look so odd with a big head on a small body.

Talk to your doctor about counselling and use CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) to overcome this situation.

Think of yourself as unique among your friends, rather than odd.

You have a gf - she obviously does not have a problem, but if you obsess, you might put her off and you could lose her.

Unfortunatly the head is a part of the body which grows the least which is why babies heads look massive in comparison to their bodies. There isn't a lot you can do to make it look bigger except grow some hair or wear a hat or even wear something to take the attention away from your head

I had a friend who felt like you but there was nothing wrong with his head it was in proportion to his body and I am sure yours is too. Your girfriend doesnt seem to bothered about it and if you were that much of a freak I guess you would not have a girlfriend!!!! Try not to go on about it too much otherwise you might find it will backfire on you with your mates taking the pee as only mates can.
