Warm baths help, but make sure it's not hot.
Try also squats along with the walking.
When the contractions start make sure to keep walking around or keep up the nipple stimulation, otherwise, they may stop.

Don't try the old tale of castor oil, I have heard women who have gotten abdominal cramps- like gas and bloating, but they weren't labor contractions, but they were uncomfortable and painful.

Good luck!

P.S. How far along are you?

Sex worked for me BUT - I was 6 days past my due date! Even then, my labor stalled and I had to be given Pitocin and have my water broken to get things moving. Talk about stubborn...

Nothing is going to help unless your baby is ready to come already. Sex and walking can push you along if your body is ready to go, though. I thought walking was pretty miserable though - 9 months pregnant and it's hot outside. Even if sex doesn't work, it'll be a while before you get a chance again, so take advantage of your time together!

Good luck with your little one!

I tried everything imaginale! I tried black cohosh, castor oil, walking, sex, just about everything. My labor finally had to be induced a week after my due date. The reality is, the baby is gonna come when it's ready, nothin else is going to change that.

Raspberry leaf tea, but only if you are past your due date.

Also, go to your local health food store (A co-op, if you have one in your town.) and look through some herbal books. There are a few other teas that you can make that will help.

When your baby is ready to come he or she will come. I took castor oil. Drink it while its hot and have a follower but u have to drink it real fast. All it does is move ur bowels so u can go to the bathroom and that gives the baby room to move around and move down. If u have sex, try the doggy-style postion. But ur baby will come when he or she is ready. I did all of that and my son who is 3 months now came 3 days before my due date but he was still full term. Babies that are born closer to their due date sleep better, eat better and are less fussy!!! Hang in there. If ruff but itll come sooner than u think. Just wont feel like it.

the walking is probably the best way ! one of my friends went walking in the pasture ( a lo-o-o-o-n-g walk), and when she got back it was time to go to the hospital !
