EVERYONE deserves some 'me time.' Doesn't matter if you've been married for a day or a lifetime (I'll leave the obvious joke out so I can remain serious...as difficult as that is for me!) In a sense, that's how we 'recharge' for the rigours of life. It allows us to know that we are worth something to ourselves, for truly we must take care of ourselves before we can care for others. This is a very general answer but I hope you get my point. You take time for yourself because you need it. Not a thing wrong with that, so long as you don't do it all the time, every day...

I think it's normal. It's your way of settling down after a long day of working and relaxing. Your family and friends should respect the fact that you're a busy girl and that you need time to unwind every once in a while.
But make sure that you're not completely withdrawing from them. I'm sure they want to fit somewhere in your schedule from time to time.

you just need to unwind, just make sure they know that and that you are not being rude or ignorant. If you are under stress during the week it is only natural that you want to relax and be alone. Good luck :)

Sometimes I just don't give a rat's behind about people and want to be left along for a day. If it's a random thing, fine. If it's every day, it could be a problem.

It sounds like you know when you need a break and care enough about yourself to have some time for you. As long as it is not negatively effecting your life, it sounds like a good thing.

If that is the best way you have found to relieve stress and anxiety then it is perfectly fine. Everyone deserves to have "me" time...it's rare to find...so if you can do it - enjoy!
