Crap. it is not even music, just a bunch of ranting about sex and crime.

I love all music, but hip hop is powerful. Regardless of how old one gets, hip hop in my mind is classic, unique, very deep. Yes, we do hear the occasional money power, fame songs. I do get tired of the boasting. I like when mcs boast about their lyrics, how much their words are threats, instead of physical violence. I think that an mc is representing true hip hop when they can free style with the first thought that comes to mind. They can tell stories, speak philosophy to you, but it's like they are telling you an urbanize epic, you know. Hip hop is amazing when you can really listen to it past the beats. I love hot beats, but anyone can rap off of a hot beat. The words mean more when they make sense and you can almost relate to what they are expressing. Hip hop is poetry but expressed in a form that is more bold, intense than the usual. I love it, and I just wish more people could appreciate it more for the magnificence it holds than the hollywood glam or image that is placed on it.

Hip-Hop to me is whole different thing....it's to many things to me.

I was born in the 90's, 91 to be exact. And I came to realize that hip hop now is cool but nothing like when I was 4,and I went to 2pac's concert at the house of blues with my daddy...I had the best time...and yesss I do remember.

Hip hop is like the way i talk and how i express myself.

im from houston so i have a really bad accent, n when i visited new york, no one understood what i said or i how i put things, n i didnt understand them clearly either. because i listen to trae n z-ro n scarface regularly....n they supposly (sp?) listen to nas n jay z more...

so hip hop has alot to do with ppl how react things and how they express n dress....

first off, rap and hip hop are different. Hip Hop to me, is an art, a way of living, state of mind. Rap is "hip hop taken too far and out of context"
Do not confuse rap with hip hop.

hip hop is not on TV

Hip Hop to me is the fall from grace kind of thing. Hip Hop used to have a lot of good artist and now they are all kid-oriented and only talk about love .

So in my opinion Hip Pop fell off and has lost many fans.

Here's a question for all you who down rap. What makes the genre of music you like any better? Choose your words wisely because I'm sure I can find something offensive to say about whatever it is that you like.
