Why is the sign for the "Yellow Trucking Company" Orange?

Every time I drive down the freeway, I see one and wonder why.

its a safety color i read this in a trucking mag years ago

well as a 18 year veteran truck driver I have tried to figure that out myself and still cant come up with the reason
