What animal does the dragon resemble...... some say it resembles the bird, or a lizard?

Since it is an imaginary creature, it can resemble anything you want it to.
The most common dragons are dinosaur-like creatures with large horse-shaped heads and huge bat wings.

Well, it depends. Some areas they make it seem bird-like, lizard-like, or dinosaur-like. If you look at dragons from Asia, they sort of resemble catfish.

eastern dragon: a lizard.

A combination of the two. I think they kind of look like dogs too.
