I cvan't get the background to stay in right..it keeps floating away and doesn't look right taped to the back. So I thought about contack paper in a pretty shade of green or blue because it would stick but I don't know if the chemicals will get in the water and kill my fish. I have an oscar I've had for two years and don't want to hurt him.

My fish are alive and well thank you smart @$$. The background IS made to go on the inside if you cut it right and I didn't. God you're such a dummy.

put it on the back of the tank but not in the water?
I think the glue on contact paper may be harmful to your fishies.

Oscars are way too cool to loose to something silly.

Are you joking? Yes, the glue used to make contact paper stick will harm your fish. Backgrounds are not meant to be put on the inside of a tank. Smear vasoline all over the back of the tank (OUTSIDE) and the background will stick close to the glass and not look funky. Use a couple pieces of tape so it doesn't slide down and get crooked.

You're not supposed to put the backround in the tank. You're supposed to tape it on the back. Like an illusion.

Dont try it. Go to a fish supply store and get a new background. Dont hurt your little (big..) oscar.

Attach it to the outside using two sided tape. Then you don't have to worry about it.
