I have thrush (vaginal) and am 18 weeks pregnant. I went to the pharmacy because the doctors isn't open (at the weekend) and the pharmacist advised me that the "canesten pessary and cream combi" was the best option, but said to check with my doctor on monday. I bought it but don't want to wait till monday cos i'm so itchy and uncomfortable. Anyone know from experience if this is ok to use and if so, how do i use it? Thanks. (mature people answer only please- don't need any immature answers, just need some advice)

I don't know if your dr's office was closed for the holiday (depending on your area of location) but one thing you could do to try and help the itchiness til you talk to the dr is to try a cool sitz bath. A cool sitz bath can be like a numbing agent for the itching. But I would definitely leave a message with the dr's answering service telling them that you need to get in touch with your dr because of some symptoms with itching and discomfort you are having.
