Yes has happen that I may only have one answer to my asking. I really feel it's what the individual see and feels may or may not have interest in the question or even the knowledge to answer as best as the other people on this site might have.
Just my opinion.
Truly is sad though to see some real dumb questions always being answered, by many and just not enough of the real good questions out there.
I myself have done and I to am guilty as well, sad to admit.
As for to many categories- You are right but some feel their calling is where they alone chose that day or feel suited best at.

Yes, I once asked a question and realized that Answers chose the catagory, and the answers I got were kinda off. I resubmitted the question in the right catagory and got better answers.

That has only happened to me once, and I didn't like it.
It had something to do with homework help, and I am not sure if putting it in another category would have helped.
