I think it looks pale salmon color. The source is a picture I took myself. I tried to make the colors come out as close as possible to what I actually see with my eye through the telescope.

Mars is known as the red planet, and I think red is a fair evaluation of its color. Ive never been there, but in an RGB color system, copper and orange both contain very high red contents. Therefore, I think your friends should listen to you.

Mars is called the red planet because of the red dirt. It is thought that the red in the soil is from iron. There are areas here on earth that have soil that color, called red soil. It is not a scarlet or crimson.

I've been observing Mars for half a century, and it always looks to me a colour something like peach in a telescope. Salmon would be an equally good description of its colour. Definitely not red.

first of all its my friends and i not me and my friends second why are you fighting over the color of a planet that's just stupid and third its the color of fungi on a log which is a reddish orange color its not all one color just so you know some parts are darker or lighter than others i hope this helps you in the future.Good luck!!
