I have a slvr and it make a noise when a message is delivered, go into settings and look up delivery reports and set to on, also you can look at the text you've sent and check status and it'll tell you if its been delivered or not ?.

Al you can do is to look at the status of the message. However Delivered only means that the message has reached the recipients server. There is no way of checking if it has been read. Nokia I think offer this service on some networks

You can get delivery reports, unfortunately you have to select you want one with each message you send. When you are typing the message press the button for "options" then select "message options" and change delivery report to yes. Then select the recipient(s) and send as normal.
