My iguana's fought, and the one has a deep wound on his wrist and a break in the skin on his upper arm, what can I do for him until after the holiday weekend? I used gause padding and medical tape to bandage the wounds up as best as possible.

Hello..Clean it with providine iodine ( betadyne ) available @ wal marts, grocery & pharmacys, apply some neosporin & all will be fine...unless it gets infected, just keep it clean with the betadyne ..no bandages & SEPERATE the iguana's, reptiles can rarely be housed together ,especially 2 males after they become adults ..yikes, they can fight to the death !! Doubt you'll need vet if you do as I have recommended !! Take Care :)

Separate them. Keep the wounds clean with diluted betadine solution. You will probably need a vet to take a look, because reptiles have a lot of bacteria in their mouths and the wounds could easily become infected. Deep wounds might need sutures.

i hope you cleaned it 1st. if not clean it then put some more gauze on it . if it want stop bleeding see if there is any iodine in your first aid kit
( if that's where you found the medical supplies). if you don't have any and he is still gushing blood out use salt . and if those didn't stop it you better find a needle and thread quick and start sowing him up. hurrie (stat)
