Yes I know the NBA got close, if Bobby Hurley had not gotten hurt.

Sports is the last true meritocracy. When a woman can play at the same level, a woman will be there.

Casting aspersions on others is not a particularly classy thing to do. You might want to keep that in mind.

It's certainly possible but a long shot. I would think NFL would be the toughest just because of the size difference. Perhaps a woman could fit in as a kicker (U. of Colorado had a celebrated case a while back), but it's difficult to picture a woman as a regular.

Height will be a problem in basketball. Could a skilled woman be a NBA-level point guard? A tough one.

Baseball has "normal-sized" athletes. Let's face it - David Eckstein isn't exactly huge. If a woman came along with a good enough arm, a spot at shortstop or pitcher is at least in theory possible.

I'd lump all of these picks in with women on the men's golf tour -- they are at a competitive disadvantage physically, and it's difficult to overcome that at the sport's highest level. Women figure to do better at sports where that's not an issue (swimming and running, perhaps?).

1 v 9 = 1 2 v 7 = 2 3 v 6 = 3 4 v 5 = 5 (only reason being, the rivalry between the States and Russia ended with the cold war. Duke and UNC will hate each other when China takes over in 25 years...)!

Violet Palmer officiates in the NBA, Ria Cortesio is in minor league baseball, and I know of no female who wants to be an NFL official.

I don't see it happening. Certainly not football (not even at kicker). The difference in strength is too great to overcome.
I've played pick-up basketball games against some pretty talented women (Major college div. 1), and they simply aren't as strong as a man. Against a professional male athlete, they just won't stand a chance.

Simple answer - NO. Maybe as a publicity stunt but no woman will achieve the skill sets necessary to compete at that level.Sorry if it sounds misogynistic but just keeping it real.

A woman will never be able to compete in any of those sports. Never...ever.
