I am gay and i find it ok.My logic is its my life.I feel this way when i was born.I am not hurting anyone no one has right to interfere in my life and say homosexuality is wrong. The confusion started when i was in a chat room. There was a guy who said he was in love with his mother and wanst to marry her.I was shocked.I said it is wrong. It is immoral and illegal. He said that if gay is ok then why incest is not.He is not a minor. He is not hurting anyone and this is his private affair. So if no one has right to say anything against anyones sexuality then why they have objection on incest.
I have no answer. In my heart i beleive incest is not ok but i dont have any logic to support my feelings.Who can say that in future inncest will be legalized as homosexuality.Who knows. This puts in question how do we define morality. Is there any as things which is immoral now but can be moral in future. This puts all knowledge into question. Please tell me your views.please ignore genetic disoder logic

I don't consider incest to be "wrong" because its prevalent in nature, even among our closest genetic cousins (other great apes), but I would advice against it. Incest can destroy family structure especially following a break-up and there could be obvious complications during child birth such as birth defects. I once read a book that said that 1/10 people in all races and classes have participated in some form or another of incest. I highly doubt anyone in the world doesn't come from at least one ancestor who was born through incest.

Two key elements present with incest, not present with simple homosexuality: one, the potential for birth defects due to genetic traits, the closer the relationship, the greater the risk (although not a major risk with only a single generation iteration); two, there is no assurance that coercion is not involved in familial relationships.

Aside from those two significant issues, I have to agree that it should be a private matter.

There is a couple in the US that married and had several healthy children and then found out that they were siblings separated at birth. The state took their kids away due to incest laws. Now, that's wrong.

I am thinking I could care less what someone else does with their lifes but you know if I grew up and my brother all of the sudden became by brother/step father I'd be a little pissed!! Not to mention the mental anguish that goes along with it. I guess it would really depend on the relationship of the 2 people but family that close should never be involved and it would seem like it would only make the child molestation even worse... who knows.... I do think it is morally wrong. Yes I loved my dad but definately not in that way!!

I'm assuming you're not wanting to hear biblical references, but the reason incest is taboo is because of the chance of offspring (no Arkansas or Tennessee jokes please). The liklihood of the children from incest being born without some kind of disorder is slim, and even if it isn't evident, it could be a submissive trait that can be passed down to their children. With homosexuality, there isn't a chance of offspring the natural way, therefore people aren't as against it.

Being homosexual is not immoral. Gay men are born already that way. It is a journey between them and God. Incest is immoral no matter the age. In fact, the older you become the more immoral it is. As for gay women, that's a bit more different.

The problem is consent, family members cannot give it, because for this example his mother, if she's been there all his life, can have brainwashed him into being her ideal lover. She formed him, it's not really his choice.

The only way I see it working is if someone wasn't raised with the relative at hand, then you have no prior attachment. If you discover each other romantically without that bond at all, then I see no reason to stop it. But this is unlikely to happen with a child/parent or brother/sister.

Finding your mother attractive is sick.Homosexuality is fine unless the guy you fancy is a child or a relative of yours in which case it's sick too.

Homosexuality is okay and normal, but incest is a disorder. It is a violation against chastity.

Two different subjects, but to a point you may be right, but I do not agree with you.
