I want to listen to older music and my friend had an old tape player so she gave it to me.
So i'm just wondering what decades are now open to me.

Actually, there are some old cassettes that date back to the early 70's. These are NOT 8-track tapes, mind you, but cassettes like the old walkmans used to play. Also, some people you know might have cassettes that they have used to record from 33 1/3 rpm records, so those might hold even older music.

Well, you wouldn't really be that limited if you think about it.. Just like with CD's.. They just put the old albums onto cassettes and rereleased them.. but the new release cassettes were still made along with CD's on up through.. probably the mid to late 90's..
