I haven't been since I was a kid and I'm going tonight with my kids to see POTC 3.

The closest one to me is about 40 minutes away, but I think it's worth it ;) Anyway, for anyone who wants to see if there's any near you, here's a link where I found mine.

Yeah, we got one 'round these parts of WA.
To refresh your memory, as a courtesy to other patrons, make sure you turn your headlights off if you arrive after dusk. If you have daytime running lights that don't normally turn off, try pressing in the parking break just a little (about an inch only) and they will turn off.
Then (if its like the one I go to), you get a spot and hook-up to one of the transmitters by connecting the cord to your car's antennae. Turn your radio to whatever frequency they broadcast to, and enjoy the movie.
Remember, you can bring in all the food you'd like, so no need to spend at the snack bar. BBQ is probably not a good idea though. ;-)

When I was a kid. I remember seeing Texas Chainsaw Massacre when I was about 10. Scared the hell outta me.
Tornado took it down a few years later and they never rebuilt.

It's just not the same without the huge, broken, hollow sounding speaker hanging in the window. It's great that you're sharing such a wonderful piece of film history with your family...
