Well yes, many betta will not bother the ghost shrimp. Also no, some bettas will kill and eat them, this goes for males and females.

The majority of my bettas live with Ghost Shrimp, a few no longer have them as they ate them. This applies to both male and female bettas.

I myself have a ten gallon tank with four zebra danios and one African dwarf frog in with my male betta...I have a friend with three ghost shrimp in her male betta's ten gallon tank...she says they are fun to watch scavenge for food and they get along well with her betta
just make sure that you have the proper set up with a heater and a good filtration system and all should be fine

Yes, the Betta will never see them. :-p
Truthfully it just depends on the Betta. Some may do fine. Some may have a more aggressive curiosity. All, I can say is, try, if it not work, the Betta may get a fresh meal.

yes u could but there is always the chance that the betta would try to hurt or eat the ghost shrimp if it feels that its territory is being approched on by a truspasser

That should be fine. Although more would make a big school of ghost shrimps.

I would not but them in with a male betta fish. (You can tell the difference because the males have the long pretty flowy tail thingys!) Betta fish are also known as siamese fighting fish. They eat like... everything. Maybe try putting one in with it and if the betta leaves it alone you can put the other in with them... if the betta eats or harms it.. than well. Im sorry. =-] That kinda stinks. hehe lol.
