The psp wifi max is basically a usb device that can turn your PC into a wifi/wireless router. Then you can use it to connect other wifi devices, like a PSP or DS or laptop to the same internet connection as the PC. It has some encryption options to prevent unauthorized access by others. It costs $40, about the same as a stand alone WiFi router.
