Puberty is not something you have or you get, it is something that your body does naturally - when it is ready. Some kids go through it a little earlier or later than others, but generally by the time you are 13 you are in full swing of puberty. Having acne does not mean necessarily that you are in puberty, but it could. Acne can be caused from a dirty/oily face (clogged pores), stress, or hormones. If your acne is caused by hormones, I would say that you are in puberty. As the other person mentioned, the development of pubic hair is a really a great indicator of puberty - same with body odor and if your a boy, a voice change and eventually facial hair. Girls develop breast buds and will get the monthly friend (their period or menstrual cycle). However, you should be asking a trusted adult - your mom or dad these questions - not seek advice through the internet. As there are too many people out there that will misinform you for the fun of it - or don't know how to explain it themselves. If you haven't already, soon you should be having classes in school (sex ed) that will help explain more things. If you absolutely can't talk to anyone about your questions, try looking at a medical website - such as Web MD and see if you can find answers to your questions here. Good luck!

Not necessarily. Technically, puberty means that you are going through changes in your body, mostly referring to your sexual organs and as stated above... pubes. People can get pimples no matter what age. The pimples just mean you are eating unhealthy, probably greasy foods. This shouldn't be mistaken for puberty at all.

Puberty isn't something that just hits, it's something that takes a while. Depending on your age, you might have started going through it. Soon you'll be sprouting hair in funny places and your voice will be cracking like a whip. Or it might just mean you have an dirty/oily forehead. There are all sorts of face scrubs and washes you can purchase to help keep that at bay, and if that doesn't work, go see a dermitologist (skin doctor)

haha thumbs up to the guy above - well you didn't mention how old you were, you could be an adult with adult acne - pimples usually are most prominent during puberty so yes you may be going through it if you're in your early - mid teens/ If you have long hair that falls over your forehead then cut it...it actually worsens acne.

NOPE! It normally means that you will probably not get any dates with any popular chicks around town. Here try this old folk remedy. Buy some tea tree oil as a remedy for acne, one study found a 5 % solution of tea tree oil worked just as well as a 5% benzoyl peroxide medication. Whats even better, with the oil there were fewer side effects, like dryness, burning, itching, and redness.

its just a part of growing up, youre probably just having a breakout. mine usually last a week. then they go away. wash your face, and make sure if youre face is oily, to wash it. oily face isnt good for acne. so make sure to stay clean and drink a lot of water :) and moisturize! to help with dry skin
