It depends on the fish that you have. For example oscars are really large fish that can get up to a foot and a half long!! But a fish like a molly is only about an inch long.

Which breed?
Most fish range from 3 centimeters to 1 foot (Im talking about fish you keep at home). In the wild? Up to about 3 feet? Plus a whale would be like... a bus.... so it really depends.

It depends on the fish. There are over 28,000 species.
Individuals of the Paedocypris genus are the smallest fish, at 7.9mm long.
The largest fish is the whale shark. The largest specimen caught was 41.5 metres long.

Depends on the fish. Some types like guppies, endlers livebearers, and neons are around 1" not including the tail. A whale shark (largest fish) was recorded at 41 ft., but there were reported sightings over 70 ft.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whale_shark

Depends on the species. If you don't know what the species is then at least describe it. If you don't have any fish in mind then you are a waste of time.
