I think everyone hates war. Being a Patriot to me is loving your country and those in it regardless of what they believe. That part of our freedom, to believe how we feel as long as we not do others bodily harm or financial loss.
But, as a Patriot, I know from History, we did not get our freedom from licking some Dictator @ss. This freedom was earned with much pain, blood loss, and financial loss. I hate the war in Iraq and it probably more for a financial gain of big business than the people they use to condone the war and say we give them Democracy/Freedom. But, I believe those people want freedom as we have. To chose what they believe and not be told what to believe. So, I understand from American History, that freedom comes from much pain, blood loss, and financial loss. I am proud of my country and I am proud of the men and women that are in Iraq fighting for what they believe, I would be there too, if, I were still in the military. But, I hate this war as much as any person, but, I love freedom so much, I want the people of Iraq to have it too, if that what they really want.
So, as an American Patriot, I hate the war, but, I can understand why it happening!

Certainly, but if you're a real American you won't speak against the fracas going on over in Iraq. When Americans have marches, speeches, newspaper articles, etc screaming to get out of Iraq, it encourages the terrorists to keep going. As a result soldiers die. Those who are putting on exhibitions against the war, in order to save soldiers lives, are actually causing more to loose their lives.

Absolutely yes. The war in Iraq was hasty, ill-conceived, logistically inadequate and more than we were prepared to chew. We created this huge mess and now can't leave the mess we made. We managed to set the stage for unrest in the middle east when we finally pull out. A true patriot does not support stupidity.

You must always support wars, we need to win, we can whine about it after we win, but not during the war
