The song was probably made up by someone in the old days when people had to crack thier own corn to feed thier animals. I think someone saw "Jimmy" cracking the corn as they walked by his house one day. I guess they did'nt care because they were'nt the one having to do it. I would say that Jimmy was a real person and that the songwriter was just bored one day and made it up. Anyway, I don't care either!

If Jimmy did indeed crack corn, and no one cared, then why the hell did they write a song about him?
it was probably a hobby, because he'd hate to have people write that song about him if it was his lifework.
