when it is time that you open up your doors again?

For as strong as I can be on the inside. I still have the doubt and fear in the back of my mind.

Slowly, one step at a time...when you feel ready. Carefully, like when Charlie Bucket opened that chocolate bar looking for the Golden Ticket....

There is always that ONE person you can trust without a doubt, and when you find them, that helps a lot. I found that person here...

I still have fears, but I talk to my friend about them and every single time I find reassurance and hope for the rest of what I'm going through.

It's time now. Open those door. You might still have doubts but you need to look past them. Yes there is always the chance of being hurt.
But it's like going across the street to go food shopping. You might get hit by a bus. So what do you do? Sit inside and starve never taking a chance again?
When you open the doors open them slowly, don't give too much of yourself at first become friends with a person, don't let them "move in" in the first hour. Give the healing time while exercising your trust and emotions.

I think that everyone needs to be careful. Pay attention to your intuition. There is always a risk everytime you open up to someone. Just be careful what you share with people. As you get to know someone, you'll feel more comfortable sharing more of yourself. There always will be a risk. That is just life. ;o)

I never allow myself to shut down. I like to be in control of every situtation. I would never close myself off because then someone else is controlling my life. Push yourself to go on. It makes you stronger. Sitting in fear and self pity only hurts you and weakens your spirit.

We have all in one time or another been through some pain in our lives. it's called learning experiences. I have had my share at 43 years old.. It is my choice not to date anymore or to be with a man in any manner. My choice Today is to wait upon God to send me a man, if He feels i need one. I know that He won't fail me. It's been 3 years..No big deal to me...life will go on...

I have been hurt too many times to even care any more. My theme song is:
"I Am a Rock" by Simon and Garfunkle
"...if I had never loved/I would have never cried..."
and, yes, I have my books and poetry too!!
"...an island never cries/ and a rock feels no pain..."

There's safety and comfort on the inside. No one can hurt you.
