Create a network. If its upstairs/downstairs, wireless is best. Linksys is the best brand followed by dlink and buffalo. Do not get a no name brand. You need an adapter for both computers ( about $20 each, get the internal ones, they are way more relaible than the usb ones) and a router (about $40)

If you have. ONLY ONE computer you have to go downstairs to operate the computer. There is No Remote for Computer like TV/Airconditioners etc.
Para two : If you have two computers, and both connected to the Internet via a router, you can access the DS Computer.
Go to Start/All programs/Accessories/Communications
Remote Desk top connection or the wireless option. or the Network setup wizard.
