Where are you from?

If you are a citizen of any country that is a part of the European Union, all you need is your (valid) national ID card.

That depends... If your in a country that is already inside the EU (European Union) than no. All countries inside of the EU are considered open bordards. However, it is always a good idea to carry your passport with you for identification purposes. If your coming from out side of the EU, say the United States than the answer is yes. To put it bluntly you can't even get on a plan with out one, in any country that is flying out side of its bordards, EU or not.

You do need a passport for all European countries, no exception. You even need one for Mexico and Canada.

No, You need a pass port for every country if you are not a citizen there. So each time you get on a plane or pass a border you need to show you pass port. You would be a sorry soul, to try to travel with out one, and you wont get very far. Good Luck.

if you are an eu citizen then passport is not required for travelling in eu-zone if you have the new id.if you are not an eu citizen passport is required
