4 stroke air-cooled motorcycles such as the Yamaha TTR 125 usually like 20W50 in hot weather, and 10W40 in cooler weather.

Check your owner's manual for the weight and also the quantity. It should take about 1 to 1.5 quarts (or liters), check the dipstick! Remember that on the TTR 125 the oil lubricates the engine as well as the transmission and clutch, so you should use motorcycle oil such as Yamalube.
