I think the best gift of all would be a picture scrap book. Either something you put together that she can look through like a book, or a slide show presentation that you can make with your windows movie maker and put music behind it. I had just made one for my sisters 50th birthday, and I couldn't have given her a better present. Ask your friends and family for pictures, either copy them off for the scrap book, or scan them in for the slide show. Good luck.... it will be the most cherished thing she gets, and she will keep it and love it forever.

you could do a box with all sorts of items to record each stage of her life- I.e. a dummy or nappies for when she was born, something to represent what she liked when abotu six, then a school tie for when she started school, ect ect up until she is 18 then get a key. This is a bit like a this is your life with some funny bits in- I think she would love this.

My sister is 18 and she LOVES stuff from the shop 'Lush'
(I live in the UK, so if your American i dunno if you'll have it)
It sells all kinds of hand-made bath products, like bath bombs, soaps, shampoo, hand and foot cream and stuff, face mask, etc. They smell sooooo good!
All the ingredience are stutable for vegetarains(most are sutable for vegans too) and nothing is tested on animals.
It's also not that expensive.
You can choose loads of different things, or you can acctually get sets of things that come in a box all neatly wrapped. These range in price from £5.75 - £30
There it loads of lovely ones for under £20 and they make super gifts!

I know this is not really buying, but what you can do is decorate her room with balloons and colorful streamers. My younger sister did it for me, and when I entered the room I was really surprised! I am 21, and it's never too babyish for that! One the table or bureau you can have a gift bag with her favorite body spray or chocolate wrapped neatly. She'll love it.

If she has an IPod you can buy a couple of songs to put in it or create a small mix of her favorite songs. Im not sure what she's into but even a small gift card would work. Good Luck!
