OK well it is too early to detect heartbeat...you usually hear that after 7 weeks LMP. I went into to Dr's when I was 5w2d and heard no heartbeat. But I am going in again when I'll be 8w3d then and will hear heartbeat then. I have cramping often, but no bleeding so i don't worry about it. I had a miscarriage in March of 06' so I feel your pain. Just keep communicating with your Dr about anything bothering/concerning you. I lost my last baby at 7 1/2 weeks but I'm now 8w so my worries have lessened now. My Dr said he sees no reason for another m/c so I am relaxing & just enjoying day-by-day now.

usually they cant detect a fetal heartbeat until about 9 or 10 weeks , its to quiet to hear right now so no worrys the babys fine . Cramping prob isnt from your yeast infection but from your uterus stretching sounds like everythings ok to me . If your very worried and none of these answers help call the doctor for confirmation or read a pregnancy book they all tell you you cant hear the heartbeat that early hope i helped

When it's early in pregnancy the heart beat genrally isn't detected. They would have looked for an embryo sac, and measured it to see how far along you are. They should be able to detect the heartbeat vaginally from around week 7. On my 1st child after my miscarriage they were unable to detect the heartbeat vaginaly until week 6 3 days, she's nearly 4 now. Congratulations and good luck :-)

oh honey, I hope this goes well for you, take it easy, don't stress out at ALL, and keep your fingers crossed, Good Luck, and keep taking your prenatal pills just in case. EDITTED: first Happy Birthday!!, second, I had a complicated pregnancy, a placenta previa, and placental abruption starting at 12 weeks, my baby and I were given a 50-50 chance. I was on bed rest the whole time, at 24 weeks I passed a blood clot that was so large ant formed the doctors wanted to do a D&C, there was no heartbeat. I held out and demanded an ultrasound. It showed a perfectly healthy baby boy. I had him by caecarean at 36 weeks and he is 5 now. Have hope, and wait a few weeks for that D&C, cause you never know

totally normal the heart isn't developed enough to beat in the fifth week. The heart beats fo the first time sometime during the sixth week. Don't worry at your next ultrsound you will see your little one wiggling around heartbeat and all. At my first ultrasound they couldn't find anything no baby no heartbeat nothing. They started talking about blighted ovums. Just three days later they found two babies heartbeats and all.
WIth my last baby they couldn't find a heart beat at my first appointment when I came back after the weekend there it was. Things change so quickly at this stage. Have faith in your body. It knows what to do.

We did not initially see a heartbeat this time around... had to go back a few days later. Then they made me back yet again 2 days afterwards and we saw not 1 but 2 heartbeats. It was just too early the first u/s.
I wouldn't get too worried just yet. Thats very early for an u/s. I learned my lesson and now I won't even suggest to friends or family getting an u/s before 7 weeks.

It may just be early, yet.
If you have a picture of the baby that shows its length (crown-rump length measurement, or CRL), this can be helpful in determining if there is a problem.
The baby (called a "fetal pole" on ultrasound at this stage) should definitely show cardiac activity if the CRL is 5 mm or greater. If a fetal pole is over 5mm, but no cardiac activity is detected, there is a high probability that the pregnancy is non-viable.
That being said, I wouldn't worry too much at this time. Ask your doctor if he can do a follow-up ultrasound in two weeks, just to evaluate for fetal heart rate.

Sometimes you can't detect the heartbeat until around 6-7 maybe even 8 weeks. My friend went through that, and it turns out she was too early. If you're not bleeding or anything, I wouldn't get upset yet. I hope everything is okay, hun. I know it's hard to lose a baby.

I would think it's too early to hear the heartbeat. They didn't hear my baby's heartbeat at 10wks but they could barely see it. So, give it a few more weeks. I am 36wks pregnant now and the baby is just fine. Try to relax. Good luck with everything!

The embryonic heart starts beating 22 days after conception, or at about five weeks of pregnancy. The heart at this stage is too small to hear, even with amplification, but it can sometimes be seen by ultrasound, although it's not rare to not see it at this early stage. I wouldn't worry.
