i change mine every year ,sometimes sooner if i think it needs it,but always change it at least once a year,this way it will keep the car running good,if you let it run down low on gas a lot you may have to change it more often,the more gas you keep in it,the less you have to change it,good luck hope this helps.

I replace mine on my '97 Dodge PU every time I put on a new fuel pump.The reason being the only filter it has is mounted on the bottom of the fuel pump.

Most car and truck dealers tell you the fuel filter should be replaced at the 30k service.Then every 30k after that.This is for gas engines.Diesel engines filters need to be replaced more often.
