i have ants on my desk. ive just noticed them recently. i guess its because of some crumbs. but i cant find an ant trail. and im too terrified to clean the desk. ( i think i have some kind of insect phobia) so far ive tried corn flakes and baby powder. but i still see them around. i only kill them where i see them. because im too scared to look for them. is there a way i can kill them without looking for like a colony or something? i have a lot of papers and i dont know where theyr coming from.
and i really dont want to use raid or anything because i have a bad reaction to it.

I have to agree with the two people that list Terro. It is highly effective and easy to use. It comes with cardboard squares that you place the liquid on. Set these in areas that you have seen activity in and the ants will find it, take it back to the nest and it will kill the entire colony, with no mess for you .
You may actually have to "refresh" the liquid on the cardboard squares several times brfore you eliminate them all. But it does work. Usually in less than a week.

Try this it has worked for me and several others. If you dont like using anything poisonous try Windex. The ammonia in the Windex kills the ants, and it is a lot less toxic than most pestacides.

try a product called Terrel. it is an ant poison in liquid form. just put a few drops where you see ants. they think it is something sweet and take it back to the nest where eventually they all eat it and die. follow directions carefully so not to contaminate or make you or any one else sick as it it a very potent poison.

You can buy stuff at the store for ants...to put around your house. they eat it and die. honestly though, to be safe, I would just call an exterminator.
