Direct voting. Abandon the Electoral College and implement "one man (or woman), one vote." Further, I'd like to see national propositions. Just as states, counties and cities need a majority vote for spending and other changes, the people should be able to tell the federal goavernment what we want to do.

If you are talking about a Constitutional amendment, then I have a great idea. I think we need to amend the Constitution allowing for the recall of the president and vice-president of the United States. If governors and other elected officials can be recalled, then why can't a president and vice-president? When an administration becomes as openly defiant of Constitutional rights and safeguards as the current occupants of the White House, then the people should have the right to remove them from office before the normal end of their term. Our rights and freedoms are much more important than any potential problem caused by disrupting the continuity of the office of the president and vice-president. After all, if the two top elected officials are removed, the job still devolves to the speaker of the house, who would assume temporarily the responsibilities of the president.
