I was that landlord.
look for another place, the new owner will boot you to fix up and raise the rent, anyway.
take the deposit out and pay him the rest.
warning...
do this with his consent or he can turn you in for bad credit and you will never rent again. look at your "Land lord -Tenant Book" those are the laws of your state and everything is in there. You can get one at the bookstore or check one out in your city/university library. good question.

Yes. As others have stated, you are contractually obligated to pay the rent.

If the property were foreclosed, the new owner would be entitled to receive rent from the date of his ownership.

Real estate law gives new purchasers of real estate "landlord's possession" which is subject to all of the terms, conditions, rights and responsibilities of the leases on the property. You would be able to claim a refund of your security deposit from the new owner of the property.

you're on a month-to-month tenancy now considering that your employ has expired. in case you do not pay your lease, your landlord will evict you. sturdy success looking a first rate position to stay with an eviction on your list. If the abode is foreclosed, the business company can make you a "money for keys" provide.
