To change to XP you need to install XP.

You can install XP and you'll need a copy of XP and a valid key.

I'd research why your games don't work first. The game publisher may have a Vista patch.

Also you may try this.

To start your game.. Right click the icon and choose "Run as Administrator". Some applications need a higher level of security to run since Vista is trying to offer higher security.

Most of the softwares of this time are still in the process of being upgraded for windows vista. You may have to wait for their newer versions to make it compatible for vista. You may look for those games' upgraded version(compatible for vista) to make it run on vista... BTW to change back onto xp, obviously you need to have an XP cd

Windows VIsta is having issues with software compatibilities!
Buy a Windows XP CD from any computer shop.

Yes you can reinstall Vista again, provided that you have the Windows Vista Installation CD with you.

WinXp is getting hard to find now. I am not looking forward to installing Vista, a lot of people seem to think that it is an inferior operating system. I did find a copy of XP Media Center in OEM at newegg.com.

Or, tigerdirect.com has WinXP Pro.

Consider running dual operating systems using a hard drive partition.Use this download to boot from either O.S. on a single partitioned HDD or from a separate HDD.
