It's their "inner child" that's acting up. They rely on "Big Daddy" to solve all their problems.
Sometimes they display a false maturity before or after they launch into their Whining mode. They think it's mature to advocate throwing more money at a "problem" and adding more government employees who don't have to work very hard because the pay is the same no matter what they do. They can't get fired.
When that doesn't work, they whine because "Big Daddy" let them down.

Most likely a result of a poor upbringing, never having been taught the value of personal responsibility. This is somewhat Darwinian, had these people lived 150 to 200 years ago they would not have survived, and therefore could not have had children that they would not bring up correctly.
The answer is to be personally responsible, what happens to you is your responsibility, good or bad, the choices you make, the effort you put it, nothing has EVER been gained from government doing something for you, NOTHING>

Actually I am sick and tried of all people throwing the word "Patriot" around as it is obvious that when most people use the word they use it incorrectly.
Some one is ONLY a "Patriot" if they agree with that persons point of view and of course everyone else is by their definition not a "Patriot" even a traitor.

n.
One who loves, supports, and defends ones country.
Loving, supporting and defending ones country does not necessarily include doing the same for any Govt, Party or specific ideology that is popular or unpopular at any given time.
The founding Fathers knew this and it is why they wanted to secure the right for all to bear arms encase the Govt got to powerful and out of control, so the people could protect and defend the "country" not the current Government at any given time.

RON PAUL is the answer.
Both the Neo-cons and Libs are for BIG intrusive deficit riddled government.
Edit:
To Snarky, you already do fund the roads you drive on with your gasoline tax. Almost all of your income tax pays for the interest on the worthless fiat money that the PRIVATE and ILLEGAL federal reserve over prints.

They love to criticize and whine. It's who they are and what they do. There is no rhyme or reason to it because they are liberals. They as a whole don't make any sense ever.

ummm yeah...like private business or corporations never 'screw up.' It's not black and white...sometimes govt. is the answer, sometimes its privitization. Lots of shades of gray out there.

Government mostly does bad when republicans run it.
Try living in a world where you need to fund the road you drive to work on yourself. Where there are no laws. You are an idiot.
