Quote: "In a tiny boat on a GENEROUS SEA, you let me be your enemy"

Is this a true nautical term or is it a Bonoism? Maybe it's what American sea farer's would call a "following Sea?"

I do not think that this a real nautical term, but rather has some metaphorical/symbolic meaning behind it. A lot of U2 lyrics have that kind of combination.
