Of course the Texans passing on Bush almost completely because everyone passed on Tom Brady including the patriots and it happened many times. Brady was a 6th round pick and there were 198 players picked before him. Everyone missed on Brady. They just saw skinny slow QB, no one knew what type of work ethic or heart he had. Even Belichick and Scott Pioli have admitted if they thought he was anywhere close to this good, they would have taken him MUCH earlier.

On the otherhand, everyone is pretty high on Reggie Bush and thinks he will be a good to great player in the future. And most importantly, the Texans were the only team to pass on him.

For now it has to be Texans passing on Reggie Bush because we've actually SEEN how the Texans are without him. That was a dumb move to choose Mario Williams over him, and he wasn't even the best defensive rookie on the team. The Saints, with Reggie, were 22 points away from a trip to the Super Bowl (L 37-16). We can't even say if the other choice was a muff because it hasn't happened yet. You have so many scenarios that could happen (Dolphins prosper Quinn doesn't; Quinn prospers Dolphins don't; Both prosper; Neither prospers) that it would be a tough call to make.

the biggest muff was the Texans passing on Vince Young. reggie bush would not have had the impact for the texans that he had for the saints. Vince Young is fast enough to make up for the poor offensive line and did wonders for the Titans. Mario Williams might still end up being a great DE, so give it a few more years before you judge

the dolphins passing on quinn may look like a mistake but who knows if quinn will turn out to be a great NFL qb. taking tedd ginn jr was definitely a mistake though because a return man is not worth that high of a pick and he is too small and raw to impact the receiving gave immediately if ever.

Texans passing on Bush, Reggie Bush has a lot of talent and potential. Everyone was certain of that, he could make a difference on a team. Brady has a lot of question marks and there's a good chance he's overrated and won't pan out. It's was a lot easier to pass on him. I think the Dolphins made the right move on skipping on him, but they do need to get someone in there.

I was not sure where you were going with this question until I read past muff....

I think both mistakes will keep their prospective teams down for a while. It is still too early to tell as far as Brady is concerned. Bush went to a team that has a good leader and was able to be used in many aspects of the game. I am not sure he would have been as effective on the Texans.

Dolphins passing on Brady Quinn. While Bush was considered the best prospect the Texans didnt, and still dont, have a offencive line to where he could be best used. Because of this and the fact know that they are building D first I understand why they did this. Dolphins however needed a QB in the draft and passed on one to reach for a WR that even the gm has said will be a great RETURNER!!! You dont draft a first rd returner, you draft a first rd WR who can return kicks. Way too early for Ginn. And while Texans pick Williams went to early as well, and least he was considered a top 5 pick.

That's easy Reggie Bush. Reggie Bush to me was the automatic pick for the Texans. He is such a weapon, a dynamic player in so many ways. He can run the ball, catch the ball, return the ball. Heck, he probably could have even KICKED the ball for the Texans. And to see the way he helped the Saints this year go from 3-13 to the NFC Championship. The Texans have to be thinking "He Could have been ours" and "That could have been us". He could have been used even more for the Texans. THINK ABOUT IT: That year they got Eric Moulds in the offseason. They could have used Reggie to return the ball and run the ball, then put him in the slot postion and w/ Andre Johnson and Eric Moulds on the line who would've stopped that? David Car would have had a AWESOME year and they would have never had to get Matt Schaub. Reggie wouldve been ROTY and they would have never gotten Ahman Green. Sure, they would have had no D but they stll wouldve had DeMeco Ryans (Defense ROTY). The Saints showed you aint gotta have no D. Just score like 800 points a game. Reggie, man. Who betta?

Definately the Texans, Dolphins wasn't nearly as bad as the Texans mess up, Reggie Bush is way more special than Quinn cuz of his raw tallent, Quinn is just another Drop Back QB he was just hyped cuz he went to Notre Dame

It is the Texans because the Dolphins passing on Quinn wasnt a "muff" that was smart, Quinn sucks they QB they got in round 2 John Beck will be better and he will be 20 millions dollars cheaper than Quinn would have been if he was picked at #10, im not saying it was smart drafting Ginn, that was stupid but it made more sense than drafting Quinn here.

I think you are referring to Brady Quinn...and that will definitely come back to haunt the Dolphins...Quinn will be NFL Rookie of the Year...The Texans passing on Reggie Bush was huge too...Mario Williams didn't nearly have the rookie year that Bush did...but its early...Mario also hasn't been in hot water with possible NCAA violations either...
