that are close, friends, and cant figure out why! I am not cocky or rude. and i am not trying to piss anyone off, actually i try not to. i get along well with most people and do well at work. the people that i piss off somehow are usually REALLY bent and they dont confront me but act out against me usually in public around other people (just happened recently) is this normal to have this from some people. I'd stop being friend with this imparticular person but we hang out with the same people so I run in to him all the time. Usually I dish it right back at them but I'd rather know what their (or my?) problem is and fix it to end the BS

I think you could find some answers if you learn about a theory called Socionics.

The basic idea is that there are 8 different aspects of reality, and each person is most inclined to see and understand some more than others. This can create conflicts between people because different people are seeing different aspects of the same situation and thus respond in different ways.

Chances are you're a logical type, which won't mean much to you unless you decide to learn about the theory and eventually figure out your type (it usually takes a little while because it's hard to separate out what is truly YOU and what you do because your environment has taught you to).

If you're interested, there are a few sites you can read up about it on.

My favorite is definitely http://socionics.us/. Other sources include: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socionics and http://the16types.info/. There are a couple of others whose names I won't mention that aren't all that good.

The best approach is direct. Next time they do it, say something like "That sounded really nasty. Are you trying to start a fight?" Then the other person will be on the back foot, looking wrong and agressive.

I would lose whoever it is. Though you see the same people. I bet he talks bad about you to those people you both see. And I bet they don't stop him, and let him go on... Even make comments of their own. To me those are not friends.

You sound a little defensive about this one person...is it possible you have more than "just friends" feelings for him? And I don't mean to offend you with that question.

You'll learn the most by asking the person directly. Ask him why.

Maybe you've been too desperate about who you confide in.
