the theory that human dna was in some way altered, influenced, or outright manupulated by extraterrestial sources in order to create what we know as humans today is not entirely without merit. however, simple evolution may be enough to explain mankind's existence. and of course, the creationists would have us believe another theory altogether.

I certainly believe it. The possiblity that we came originally from Adam and Eve in my mind, is ludicrous.

We, on earth in comparison to other planets, are very young and still developing our technology.
Somewhere, it's my belief that, beings much, much older and more advanced than we will be in many hundreds of more years existed, not too far away.
We were 'seeded' here because their world was dying (as is Mars). Will we ever know ???

i am pretty positive you yourself came out of your mothers vagina...but as for thinking that "we" came from another planet it sounds like your thinking of the obscure religion called clonaid...look into it, it states that we all came from clones that live on a scientifically advanced planet far away and this is the time of enlightenment where we find out about cloning or something ridiculous check it out it'll make you laugh...

humans are the product of evolution on earth. There is a school of thought that suggests, however, that microbial life was "seeded" on Earth very early on in it's history, perhaps from Mars?

There are theories to that effect and how many believe is not important. Even if one believes it and works to prove it scientifically, it will be good. Even if many believe it, if it cannot be proven, it is no good.
