your turn signal system has a canceler in it.you have to take the steering wheel off and there is a plastic or what metal they had in that year, that has an ear broken off. it's not a big deal to replace,unless you have an air bag and all kinda stuff on the steering wheel,like the new ones have..and take it to an electrician,not a fly-by shop..

Left turn "cancel spring" in the turn signal switch is broken---have to disassemble the column to replace it.

Sounds like the wand that controls the signal has malfunctioned.

Replace the canceling cam.
