EDIT: Of course that question was a lie, and you all know it. God, I will NEVER get over the nerve of you rightwingers. It's astonishing. And *yawn* most certainly IS a response.

Just not one you LIKE.

The basis here appears to be 85% or more right-wing statist, decidedly illiberal, at least as far as the price-gouging management who only care about imaginationless power-sellers is concerned. The question was an insult. Neither of the two anti--individualist, anti-scientific definition parties of medievalists loves anything American--responsible ego training, self assertion, clearly-defined rights, liberty under regulations for marketplaces of lives, goods and services, hirings and leadership contests, legal elections and appointment of the most qualified, secular government, conservation, hero centered normative ethical heroes in art and artistry, etc., etc., etc.
How dare anyone delete your answer. Perhaps you can ask why it was deleted. You've already done a lot for us who defend individual rights by publicizing their censorship, which in my opinion is a crime against you. The question, like all those emanating from postmodernist Earth-hating extremists, should have been forbidden. It isn't speech, it's a hate crime. I who despise such failed minds know that they project their own flaws onto others. They who understand nothing tell everyone who disagrees with their ideas they can't think, and they who have upset the balance of powers and taken many rights from individuals claim liberals do not like the constitution, etc., ad nauseum. Thank you for shining a light on this dark corner for all of us who stand for reason and rights. The immoral who accuse us of immorality must not go unchallenged.

The whole world seems funny to me . One side is dying from hunger. The other is bursting from eating so much. A woman using all sorts of technics to get pregnant and another one doesn't know what to do with so many children she's got . On one side of this planet celebrities drown themselves in luxuries ! On the other side they are planting bombs nearly every day and a whole lot of kids and women die ! 100 years ago if a woman was more religious and surrendered to God she would be a celebrity, but nowadays the more parts of her body are exposed the more important she becomes and a celebrity for sure . But considering all these funny aspects, I am still unsure about whether God is laughing at all this or is he weeping looking upon what is happening on his planet .

Unfortunately, all 'appropriate' questions and answers are subjective. I had an 'inappropriate' content email because I criticized the authors grammar - as it was unclear what the question was. No biggie.
The sad thing is that Y/A is attempting to open dialog and make conversation, but when posters (on both sides) deliberately create hate speech, it is only entrenching peoples positions and creating evidence that their narrow (unaccepting) views are validated.

*liberal and proud, and loves America, even when it's wrong*

1)yawn is a response but not an answer. Also take point gaming into consideration. If they would allow that how easy would it be to gain many points by answering yawn to Q's you think are not interesting? That's just not right
2)if you feel the question was in violation you could and should have reported it.That "question" can be interpreted as ranting and or venting which goes against the rules.
3)if you feel the question wasn't interesting and lacked substance, you could have chosen not to answer it.
Hate to admit it,Shrink is right

No, not funny, and not unusual, either.
Your answer was reported for not being an answer, which is against guidelines. Y!A doesn't delete answers unless they're reported, and the person you answered didn't like your answer, and knew they could get you on a violation.
Simple as that.
No politics involved here.

Yeah, it was a response. Just not an "answer." But questions like that are impossible to answer... you know, the "Why are (insert insulting assumption about a group you don't like here)?" I usually say something like "They don't" (which answers the question), and then you can say "YAWN" (which makes your point). That way you have your answer AND your response.

My point is that if someone doesn't like your answer, they can report it for any reason they want. Then you have to go to the trouble of contesting the violation.

I wasn't trying to pick a fight with you, I was just saying that reports are arbitrary depending on whether someone likes your answer or not, and that Y!A isn't the one doing it, it's the question asker.

It looks like somebody was having a bad day or was bored. Yawn is not an unusual answer. It is actually a good one for some of the posts that are the same day after day after day.

People will report anything. It is amazing.

If I had a nickel for every time my posts and questions have been deleted...
What happens is that a Rep.Con just needs to report you and YA with delete you. When somebody can't win within the rules, they cheat to do it. That is the conservative MO. Think not? Remember the 2000 and 2004 elections.

Answer: No! not funny, just the reality of Y/A.
Details: Please note there appears no mention of a specific guideline violation...Not that that matters as most guidelines are worded in such a way as to allow for, excuse the pun, Liberal interpretation.
As a personal aside, some take all this FAR to seriously!
I say...Challenge the violation. That question was mild compared to the dishonesty that spews from the left...but that's another line of thought.

See, the problem here is the question was not a blatant lie, as you put it. It was someone's opinion, and it was expressed as a question on top of that. It is your right as a free thinker and speaker to disprove their opinion with facts of your own.

Instead of taking the high road and disproving their argument with a well-thought rebuttal with cited sources, you opted to make a rather cynical one-word response. While the question certainly came close to the edge, it was not a direct TOS violation. Your answer was, though.

EDIT: Oh, and to answer your question--no, it is not the funniest thing in the world. Frankly, I consider this to be one more piece of supporting evidence why the human race is unfit to survive.

Sheesh.

I give up trying to understand YA's thought patterns anymore.

There is a definite bias in which answers and questions they decide to pull.
